Dear Yogis,

I wanted to share a very sweet children’s story by Meagan Rose I have been telling my little one this week as it is so telling of recent events.

Four Candles burned slowly and so softly you could almost hear them speaking. The first candle said, “I am Peace but these days nobody wants to keep me lit.” Peace’s flame slowly went out completely. The second candle said, “I am faith, but these days people don’t feel they need me any longer.” Slowly Faith’s flame went out. The third candle said, “I am Love and I haven’t the strength to stay lit any longer. People put me aside and don’t understand my importance, they even forget to actively love those who are nearest to them.” Waiting no longer Love’s candle went out completely. A child came by and at seeing the three candles out he began to cry. Then the fourth candle spoke softly to the little child, “Don’t be afraid for I am hope, and while I still burn, we can re-light the other candles.” With shining eyes the child took the Candle of Hope and lit the other three candles. And so we never let the Flame of Hope go out. With Hope in our lives, Peace, Faith, and Love may always be rekindled even when it seems like they have been put out forever.

As we transition into a new year with many big changes and transitions I wanted to share with you that the Vedic Astrological forecast for the Spring is good, expansive and bringing abundance. As we take the time to step onto the mat and into the meditation space we fan the inner flame of consciousness so that it may enliven all the other parts of our being that we sometimes fear we lose.

The yogis teach that the flame of the soul is unending, eternal and full of bliss. The ups and downs of the material world cannot vanquish it. There is a safety in the idea that deep on the inside we can never be broken. And that inner fire can repair and heal all the damage the external world does. We just have to keep recommitting to the inner work of making time to tune in.

The most beautiful part is this idea that one candle can light millions of others. So by finding an inner healing by reconnecting to your most true and powerful inner consciousness, you may accidentally spark healing in all the lives you touch outside of yourself.

I wish you so much peace, love, faith, contentedness and hope in 2021.

Check out all of our offerings below as we gear back up to go full steam ahead into this new year and new world!

In love,
Amanda and the good folks at Revolution Yoga
