The most common questions we get from people considering their first retreat with us.
Yes. Most retreats welcome all levels. Modifications are always offered, and morning sessions are typically gentler so the day can build. If a retreat is specifically advanced (rare), we'll say so on the page.
You don't need to be a long-time yogi to come. Many first-time retreaters have only practiced for a few months.
Each retreat varies, but most include: shared accommodations, daily yoga and meditation, all meals (with Ayurvedic options on select retreats), excursions and group activities, and welcome + closing rituals.
Not typically included: airfare, transportation to the venue, personal travel insurance, optional spa treatments, alcohol. Each retreat page has the specific inclusions listed.
Yes. Most retreats offer a payment plan with a deposit due to reserve your spot, and the balance broken into monthly payments leading up to the trip. Specifics are on each retreat page or available by email.
Absolutely. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and most allergy-conscious diets are easily accommodated. We work directly with retreat chefs in advance.
For severe allergies, please tell us at the time of booking so we can confirm with the venue.
No. Curiosity and openness are the only prerequisites. Our teachers are skilled at making the practice accessible regardless of where you're starting from.
A detailed packing list goes out 4–6 weeks before each retreat. The basics: comfortable yoga clothing, layers (mornings can be cool), a journal, a refillable water bottle, your favorite tea or comfort items, and an open mind.
Mats and props are provided at most retreat venues, so you don't need to travel with yours.
The majority of our retreaters come solo. By day two, most groups feel like family. Single-room and shared-room options are typically available, depending on the retreat.
If you're nervous about traveling alone, email us. We're happy to talk through it.
