yoga is no longer just a practice. it's a lifeline. and now, it's my purpose.
Yoga found me at the age of 9. When I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, my dad gave me a videotape of yoga practices to use as exercise to help manage my condition. Like any kid who just wanted to do what their friends were doing, I probably practiced once.
Then in college, I took yoga for a physical education credit, and I haven't stopped practicing since. What kept me coming back was what yoga gave me when I needed it most.
In 2021, I was at the lowest point in my life, and yoga saved me. That experience changed everything. It's what pulled me toward teaching. I want to share the feeling of healing with everyone, especially people who don't have the resources to access yoga. That's why I believe donation classes are so important: they create a way for everyone to experience that same healing, regardless of what they have.
Friends call me Pawleenah. I love astrology, sociology, and art. You can usually find me people-watching at a park or hanging out with my friends and family. I hope to heal people through yoga, and outside of yoga too. I've been to 17 countries so far, and by far my favorite place to visit is Grenada 🇬🇩, my family is from there, which makes going home even sweeter.
