Basma has been practicing yoga for over a decade, drawn to the practice not only for how it moves the body, but for the way it encourages us to grow, reflect, and show up more fully in our lives. After years as a student, she completed her yoga teacher training at Revolution Yoga and now teaches a variety of styles, with a special love for restorative yoga.
As both a yoga teacher and educator, Basma is passionate about creating spaces where people feel supported, empowered, and encouraged to evolve into the best versions of themselves. Her classes blend intentional movement, mindfulness, and yoga philosophy, with an emphasis on taking what we learn on the mat and carrying it into everyday life.
While she loves a strong, playful practice, Basma believes there is just as much power in slowing down. Her restorative classes invite students to soften, turn inward, and give themselves permission to simply be.
Off the mat, you can usually find Basma teaching high school, spending time with her cats, getting her nails done, ordering takeout, or enthusiastically proving that being a yogi does not require being “love and light” 24/7. For her, yoga is less about perfection and more about becoming more conscious, compassionate, and authentically yourself.
