My journey into wellness grew naturally from my work as an educator and community organizer. For much of my professional life, I have worked with young people, adults, educators, and communities to create spaces where people feel safe enough to communicate, connect, and grow. That work introduced me to restorative practices and the power of intentional dialogue through Restorative Circles.
Yoga allowed me to deepen that work by bringing restoration beyond conversation and into the body. I became increasingly interested in the relationship between how we think, how we feel, and how we physically carry our experiences. My practice has grown into an integration of restorative yoga, meditation, mindfulness, emotional support, and community connection. As a teacher, I want people to experience yoga as more than movement. I want the practice to offer an opportunity to slow down, breathe, reconnect with themselves, and leave feeling a little lighter than when they arrived.
I love practicing and teaching yoga, supporting men's emotional wellness, building community, and studying ancient approaches to healing and restoration. I am especially interested in Taoist healing traditions, yogic philosophy, meditation, breathwork, energy practices, and the ways ancient wisdom can complement what we understand today about emotional and physical wellbeing.
Much of my work comes back to the same question: How can we take what humanity has learned about healing, connection, and restoration and make those practices meaningful in our everyday lives?
I believe meaningful change begins by helping people become more connected to themselves and one another. I am currently pursuing a doctorate and developing my research around the benefits of restorative practices throughout the lifespan. My larger intention is to help bridge education, community practice, movement, mindfulness, and wellness in ways that are accessible beyond traditional classrooms or yoga studios.
